Executive Director

The Nevada State Board of Nursing is seeking an Executive Director.  The Executive Director serves as the agency head for the Board of Nursing and is charged with the implementation of the Nevada Nurse Practice Act for 45,000 licensees and certificate holders—APRNs, CRNAs, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and MA-Cs. The selected applicant may be located in either the Reno or Las Vegas office.

Educational Qualifications:  Minimal academic preparation is a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a graduate degree in nursing or a related field from an accredited university or college.

Professional Qualifications: A minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in the practice of nursing, executive level administration and organizational management. In addition, a minimum of three years of experience in public policy is required.
